in memory of imageDaniel's dear friend and racing partner, Jeff Wade, died on June 22, 2004, after a ferocious battle with brain cancer. Jeff loved racing. He ran the Panoz series in 2001, Speed GT in 2002, and started Grand Am with Daniel as co-driver in 2003. Jeff's team, Vision Racing, had backing from Showtime and Sundance Channels,as well as BBS. His cancer was discovered in 2003, days after the first Grand Am race at Homestead. Throughout his illness, Jeff enjoyed time near the race car and talking with Daniel about driving. During a pause in the disease progress, we went to Savannah where Jeff drove for what we all suspected would be the last time. His smile stretched form ear to ear. Even when he began Hospice care, Jeff reacted with pleasure when Daniel showed him photos or videos of his races. Daniel and Sally spent Jeff’s last night at his bedside. He died peacefully the next, with his family. We miss him terribly. Please keep Jeff, his wife Rhonda, and his daughters, Brandi and Jessica, in your prayers.
