We welcome the questions asked about Daniel's
2002 helmet.
The red triangle is the state symbol for Minas Gerais, the
region of Brazil where Daniel was born. Incidentally, Daniel's
company (and max-racing's parent) is “MG” Intercontinental
Corp., named for Minas Gerais.
- The Latin words bordering the red flag, "Libertas
Quae Sera Tamen," or "Liberdade ainda que tardia" in
Portuguese, mean: Freedom, even Delayed.

- The triangle
symbolizes the Holy Trinity and also represents the
ideals of the French Revolution of 1789 (Liberty, Equality
and Fraternity).
- The colors were
chosen for their revolutionary meaning: white represented
the desire to form a peaceful new nation,
discarding all colonial institutions, and red symbolized
the flame of liberty.
Daniel is proud that the cars bear both the American
and Brazilian Flags, representative of his dual citizenship.
